When Princeton grad student Richie Furst (Justin Timberlake) believes he's been swindled by an online poker site, he heads to Costa Rica to confront gambling tycoon Ivan Block (Ben Affleck), the man he thinks is responsible. But Richie will soon face the ultimate power play as he finds himself caught between Block's promises of unlimited wealth and the zealous FBI agent trying to bring him down.

A lot worse than I expected. Movie felt very compressed like it needed another 30 minutes or so for plot and character development. 5 minutes in JT is a broke Princeton student and then 15 minutes later he is a wealthy hanging out with millionaires on a yacht. I don't recommend spending money on this.

Some of the reviews were so critical I almost didn't rent it. I'm glad I did. It was interesting, engaging, and entertaining. Is it Ben's best role? No, but the movie isn't some period-piece masterpiece. It's just a fun action, drama film. Justin was pretty good, I thought. Not award-winning, but believable enough. This movie is a great rental. I wouldn't buy it, but I'm glad I saw it once!

They could have replaced Ben Affect with a rock and the movie would have been better. Bad story, stupid dialog and very predictable.
