I watched this after Niki Lauda's death the other day. Man, this is a good film although the part where he crashed and was in hospital made my cry. It's an excellent film if you like F1 it is very accurate. The most inspiring part was when he nearly died and he still got up and raced with bandages on his head. Niki, if you're reading this from up there, you were an absolute legend and you are my hero. R.I.P Niki Lauda 1949-2019 Legends never die

I did originally want to see this at the cinema, but my mates didn't want to go. So I was waiting until now to watch. Yes there are some cheesy car scene, like something from the fast and the furious movies. But all in all the story of Hunt and Lauda was quite good, and being based on a true story it make the movie far more believable . Hemsworth and Bruhl I think were great choices for the leads, and getting to see the beautiful woman and cars that made F1 in 70's compared to the modern Computerized Playstations with wheels of today was quite refreshing. Some of the cars in the movie were the actual cars from the 70's and they did a great job on recreating some of the other cars. If you like F1, I think you'll like Rush (and I don't mean the band).

I'm not a follower of watching racing round in circles but the cast and story combined with the mythology of Lauder and Hunt from my early years, brought great memories of nostalgia back. I particularly like the set pieces in the film, the dead pan of Bruhl is a great contrast to Hemsworth pulling a posh accent and allowed to go "off thor script" with reverence. Highly recommended.
