RUSHMORE is the story of a gifted, rebellious teenager named Max Fischer (Jason Schwartzman), a 10th grader at elite Rushmore Academy. Editor of the school newspaper, captain or president of innumerable clubs and societies, Max is also one of the worst students in the school, and the threat of expulsion hangs permanently over his head. Max's world is rocked when he falls for elegant 1st grade teacher Miss Cross (Olivia Williams) and he plans to erect an aquarium in her honor -- then finds himself competing for her affections with his friend, steel tycoon Mr. Blume (Bill Murray), the wealthy father of two of his classmates.

When your a rich kid you think youll stay rich. Well I didnt, and I was depressed for years and this movie cheered me up, it really changed my perspective on how I should respond emotionally to failure. I gave up before but I fought hard and now I have everything a guy could ask for. God is number one but this movie is the best and inspirational.

Glory fades but rushmore doesn't seem like it can. I it's a masterful coming of age story teaching us about love loss and being fine without a stright foreward anwser in such a perfect way.

Wes Anderson you do a whole lot better writing if you don't have Owen Wilson in there messing it up. Your best work is without him, just a little heads up. mic pete Cl;-)~™ Ririe, ID USA 🇺🇸
