Quite a few things wrong with this film that spoiled it for me. Firstly, Elizabeth Banks was miscast as the villain, she over acted and was quite frankly awful. Secondly, is this film meant for children? I guess not because there were a few rude jokes, S word plus they squeezed LGBT issues in cos the girl (yellow power ranger) questions her sexuality I.e she's a lesbian. This PC garbage has no place in a power ranger movie. And lastly, its not a big thing but this film like most Hollywood films played the stereotypes that people with Autism, Aspergers are incredibly smart, technology savvy, which is not always true!

It's not like the original where the characters & origins were already established so the first 3/4's of the film is spent on this. Getting to know the power rangers & how they came to be. I was wanted more Rita and there's not enough power ranger action. My hope if there is a second one, We see Lord Zed, Tommy as the White Ranger, & more action now the honeymoon is over. A good effort but not great.

An absolute mess - you could spend hours writing out everything wrong with this film. Terrible story line, only one of the rangers is even slightly likeable and if you want to see some examples of completely dire acting then this is definitely the film for you. It also has pretty much every stereotype possible jammed in one way or another. I didn't think I'd ever see a more poorly acted villain than Cara Delevingne in Suicide Squad but Elizabeth Banks has gone all out to surpass her. I was hugely into Power Rangers when I was younger and I was looking forward to this reboot, but it seems to take itself a bit too seriously, the original was kind of cheesy and tongue in cheek. This is trying to be a Marvel-esque movie and it doesn't really work. Save your time and money and wait for it to be on TV.
