The smoldering passions and the engines run as hot as the desert sands in "Sahara," a romantic adventure starring Brooke Shields, Lambert Wilson and Horst Buchholz. It's 1927 and American auto tycoon R.J. Gordon (Steve Forrest) has built a new, innovative racing car to drive in a grueling race across the Sahara Desert; however, he sadly dies before the event. To honor her father's memory and to prove the power and strength of his beloved car, his socialite daughter Dale (Shields) โ€“ who, as a woman, is not allowed to enter the race - disguises herself as a man to take the place of her late father. But before she can cross the finish-line, Dale finds herself caught up in a brutal conflict between two powerful men: the villainous Lord Beg (Ronald Lacey) and the dashing Jaffar (Wilson). Directed by Andrew V. McLaglen, this exotic adventure also stars John Rhys-Davies and John Mills, and features an evocative musical score by Ennio Morricone.
