One of the best war films of its time, the tale follows a stranded group of six Allied soldiers, plus an Italian and a Nazi prisoner of war, as they trek across the desert in Bogart's tank in search of a legendary well at an abandoned fort. One of my favorite Bogart films ever, far superior to the sad remake with Belushi. With a great cast including Lulu Belle the authentic M 3 Lee tank, much like the film Baatan it has its bit of propaganda but is so well done you get swept up into the adventure. Not one of Bogarts usual type of films but one of his best nontheless

Great movie for it's time, Lloyd Bridges in supporting role! His first movie.

Corney by today's standards but still one of the greatest war movies of all time.
