it could of been good, if it was at least 5 % believable. the acting wasn't too bad, cgi was actually pretty good, but the probably of any of that actually happening are way beyond reason, I think there's more reality in Marvel movies. If the Rock was a superhero with superpowers then yeah ok I'll give it another star, but other wise total BS

Kudos to the casting director for all the "attractive" people, but it would have been better to spend some of those costs on a better storyline. The movie was laid out in a similar fashion to "2012" and "Day After Tomorrow" so there was very little originality. *SPOILER* Scientist predicts things are going to happen too late to stop it and main character is trying to find his daughter and also rebuilding past relationship with his ex wife which everyone knew was going to happen. Think "Taken" meets "2012" and this is what you'll come up with. 2 stars for The Rock's workout regiment cuz homeboy is gigantic!

There is some good animation when the buildings fall down but there is absolutely no character development and hardly any plot. There are also a lot of fallacies in the movies events, such as the vehicles they use never running out of gas, the choppers blades not being destroyed by building debri, and the boats prop(engine) having no problem driving through a bunch of building debris floating in the water. Oh and they manage to climb up a tsunami wave when everyone else falls off....
