Quando la famigerata Faglia di Sant'Andrea cede e scatena un terremoto di magnitudo 9 in California, il pilota di un elicottero di salvataggio e la sua estraniata moglie viaggiano insieme da Los Angeles a San Francisco per salvare la loro unica figlia. Ma il loro viaggio pericoloso verso il nord è solo l'inizio dell'avventura. E quando pensano che i disastri siano ormai alle loro spalle… non sanno che il peggio deve ancora arrivare.

One of the worst 'disaster' films I've seen and surprised that the Rock put his name to it! Cheesy, America fest, numerous impossibilities clearly designed as a propaganda film to make Americans feel better about themselves. Chuck in some English school boys to sell it to the UK, impossible to believe search and rescue stories and all in all - not good. Unbelievable right to the end, even once you've gotten over something of this magnitude happening (ok lets say it did.. ) - then how do the survivors manage to print out their lost loved ones pictures to hang on the fence 9/11 style? How do the main actors have the only working cell phone in the country .. when they also state all cells phones are down.. (yes that includes making a land line call to a cell phone ... still need a cell to be operative'!) Nah - didn't enjoy it. You may if you are under 18 - or 'merican.

The film trailer really built me up to really want to watch it, god was I mistaken. The film was really predictable at most times so I was never really "WOWed" at any time. It had good scenes don't get me wrong, and of course it has dwayne Johnson and his hot wife and daughter ( haha ) but all in all, this is a 3 out of 5 stars, the director had a bunch of great actors but with a bunch of disappointing scenes.

You just can't call this a "disaster movie" as movies generally have plots and storylines, the director and screenwriters seriously need imprisoning for this crime to the silver screen! Not to mention that some of the acting in this my granny could have done better and she's been dead 20 years!
