A gifted young drummer from a poor untouchable family yearns to learn the art of playing the mridangam (indian percussion instrument) from the top Maestro. He faces rejection from the classical music community as well as from his family. Can his talent overcome the caste system and social boundaries of the present? Sarvam Thalamayam is the third movie by award winning Rajiv Menon. It is a coming of age story set in the social and musical landscape of India.
