Every year at Christmas time it seems the baby in the manger takes more and more of a backseat to retail sales, Santa Claus, and political correctness. With "Merry Christmas" being replaced by "Seasons Greetings" and court ordered removal of public nativity scenes, the fruit of Mary's womb is falling on hard times. In KIRK CAMERON’S SAVING CHRISTMAS, Kirk’s sister’s annual Christmas party is about to be ruined by Kirk’s brother-in-law Christian, who is chock full of no-fun Scroogery. Kirk realizes it’s his job to grab Christian by his seasonal sweater and show him Christ where Christ has always been: smack dab at the center of all the Christmas hoopla. KIRK CAMERON’S SAVING CHRISTMAS provides a biblical basis for our favorite time-honored traditions and celebrations, and the inspiration to stand strongly against a culture that wants to trivialize and eliminate the faith elements of this holy season.

Ratings and reviews

As a practicing Christian myself movies like this make me cringe! It is a failed attempt, on Kirk's part, to get people to view the pagan idolatry of Christmas in a Christian point of view. It also had misleading and inaccurate historical information in it as well, no wonder this movie did poorly amongst critics and audiences alike...

This almost feels like a propaganda film with no real characters or story. Every opinion that's not Kirk's is wrong apparently. I only gave this "movie" a 1/5 because it's the lowest score I can give it.

Objectively, this film fails on on every conceivable level. Absolutely nothing about it works as intended and any message that was supposed to be portrayed is lost entirely. However, this is one of the most fun "so bad it's good" movies I've watched in a long time. If you enjoy films like "The Room," "Birdemic," or "Miami Connection," I cannot recommend this movie enough.
