I SHOULD have read the description before I purchased!! Thinking this was the actual new "Scary Stories to tell in the dark" movie. It is NOT that. it is basically a documentary type film where people talk about the impact that these books had on them as children and how they opened the door to the "love" of that thiller/horror genre!! it is definitely interesting ,especially if your like me and you read these books as kids. Also informative for the younger generations.

The entire cast seem to be from a specific group..Other than that, it's a great documentary about the series we millennials grew up with. Great direction. Great interviews. Takes me back.

A great tribute to the original books and their enduring affect on a generation (myself included). The documentary leaves it a little unclear if Schwartz ever really knew the wide appeal before he passed. It's also disappointing that Stephen Gammel didn't participate.
