Al Pacino won an Academy Award for his brilliant portrayal in this heartwarming tale of an overbearing, blind Lieutenant Colonel who hires a young guardian (Chris O'Donnell) to assist him.

Pacino had many nominations and IMO he should have already won an OSCAR for best actor. Pacino even said during the award ceremonies that he didn't really want to play this type of role but something inside one of the best actors along with (Robert Deniro & Jack Nicholson & Daniel day Lewis) gave Pacino the opportunity to portray A tortured war hero who's bark is just as big as his bite (the ranger chokehold scene) and of course one of the best inspired speeches known to man. Pacino was flawless

Profoundly powerful and outrageously funny, the Scent of a Woman is a movie that will leave you reflecting on yourself through the eyes of its extraordinary characters. Al Pacino has never in my opinion, better suited a role; his flawless performance will leave you laughing and crying. It's powerful message about the value of character is priceless in its entirety and even more so in its delivery. All in all, find this movie and watch it, it is simply a classic you can't afford to miss.
