About this movie

1951 black and white version. A British fantasy drama film and an adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol (1843). It stars Alastair Sim as Ebenezer Scrooge, and was produced and directed by Brian Desmond Hurst, with a screenplay by Noel Langley. It was released as A Christmas Carol in the United States. An old bitter miser is given a chance for redemption when he is haunted by three ghosts on Christmas Eve.

Love this film, the penultimate Christmas Movie! Alistair Sim and George Cole combine to make this simply the best version by far, though it has to be in B & W.

this is christmas all wrapped in one movie .remember watching it when i was about 7 (1969) takes me back to my child hood Christmas's. tried the colour version but not the same.Try watching it with loved ones early on Christmas morning before unwrapping your pressies 🎅🤶
