The movie wasn't that good. It was just some crappy CGI monster that didn't look cool at all. Some huge bioluminescent tentacle thing. Not scary at all because nothing was creepy and making a "monster" look beautiful is not scary. Sure there was some nastiness but overall the sea creature did not look cool. Sure it looked like a well made light show but not really special effects. I would not rent this if I were you.

I saw it as a realistic kraken, the tales have been misunderstood over the years. I enjoyed the movie.

A decent enough time-waster. Think a sea-faring Alien...
