About this movie

In his second feature film, the renowned Australian theater director Benedict Andrews offers up a noir-ish thriller set amidst the late-1960s Hollywood that pulses with modern themes and political intrigue. It weaves together facts and historical incidents into a kind of speculative narrative based on real events in the life of actress Jean Seberg, when her involvement with the Black Power movement leaves her vulnerable to a smear campaign engineered by Hoover’s FBI.

More and more movies showcase Kristen Stewarts diverse acting chops. Her French is impeccable, as is her vulnerable beauty. I just wish there was a little more background about Jean Seberg, for those not too familiar with her work. But a very engrossing 'lockdown' movie.

Kristen Stewart was great in this movie but it was as boring as bat s#*t. I watched half to give it a chance but I just couldn't get into it so I turned it off. A waste of $5.99. Boring!

Stewart gives a very good performance here but after an interesting beginning the pace of the film rather lags.
