I lived in Massapequa, L.I.N.Y in 1973. I went to visit my parents on June 13th, 1973, but 4 days before that I drove 35 miles from my house to watch Secretariat race on June 9,1973. It was by far, the most amazing thing/Horse Race that I have ever seen in my life. I was 19 years old and cried my eyes out when Secretariat came around turn 4 and continued to gain horse lengths even past the 1 1/2 mile marker. I have never seen a horse run that fast in my life. Secretariat was and is the best athlete and race horse athlete that God ever created. Thank you " BIG RED" FOR THAT DAY IN HISTORY. THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER HORSE LIKE HIM AGAIN EVER. JUST LIKE THERE WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER " BRUCE LEE EITHER. 2 OF THE MOST SUPERNATURAL CREATIONS ON THE PLANET THAT GOD CREATED FOR THE WHOLE WORLD TO SEE. Also, GOD bless," CHRIS KYLE, " THE AMERICAN SNIPER" It's amazing how animals and people that were blessed to see and know that left an impression on the world. THANK YOU SECRETARIAT, BRUCE LEE AND CHRIS KYLE...

For years, I told my husband about watching the triple crown races on tv the year that Secretariat won. Jumping up out of my seat with awe as this beautiful horse did what seemed to be impossible. When I took my husband to see this movie (and we bought the Blu-Ray too), he totally agreed how magnificent this horse and his story are. The movie is fascinating in telling the back story of the owner and trainer. Disney told the story wonderfully and we watched in enjoyment despite knowing the ending.
Great movie.Everyone should watch it. It's worth every cent of the money. They are no opening credits at the beginning, just an opening title, but it is still a great movie. Disney just said "Walt Disney Pictures Presents Secretariat" at the beginning of the movie after the introduction. The introduction's also very good.Great History. It is a very powerful movie. I recommend buying and watching this movie. I have it at home. No violence,so it is a great family movie. As a matter of fact, I don't mind violence as long as it's still a great story.
