James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhaal star in the dark comedy Secretary. Praised as "daring, funny and quirkily erotic!" (Glenn Kenny, PREMIERE) and "sexy and highly stylized" (GEAR magazine), Secretary is the story of Lee Holloway (Gyllenhaal), a young woman with a few strikes against her after a brief stay in a mental hospital, who accepts a secretarial position working at the law office of E. Edward Grey (Spader). The work seems normal at first, but somewhere between the typing, filing and coffee-making, Lee and her new boss cross the line of their professional relationship and enter into a Human Resources nightmare!

I just watched this for the first time last night. It was not what I expected. It was mostly just funny to my SO and me and only mildly arousing. I can see a lot of potential and it was definitely an entertaining movie but didn't have the result I was hoping for. I'd still watch it again, though, because the whole boss/secretary thing is hot af.

Secretary is a strange and interesting movie. It's a bit weird and uncomfortable at times, but it's also thought-provoking and well-acted. It's definitely not for everyone, but if you're open to something different, it might be worth checking out.

I own this movie ,and it's definitely worth watching if you're into this sort of thing. Acting was above par. Good story line.
