As a 70-mile-wide asteroid nears Earth, Dodge (Steve Carell, "The Office"), a soft spoken insurance salesman finds himself alone after his wife leaves in a panic. He decides to take a road trip to reunite with his high school sweetheart. 100% my favorite movie of all time. Why do we live life the way we do(As if we won't just die anyway, in the oh-so distant feeling "future") What would happen if all that was taken away? How is it that Steve Carrel is staring in my favorite movie? (and perfect in it) If you've ever lived with existential dread, or found life utterly pointless, this movie is the no-hold-back balm of utterly sincere comedy for you. (IMO)
