The story of the monumental life and tragic death of legendary Brazilian motor-racing Champion, Ayrton Senna. Spanning the decade from his arrival in Formula One in the mid 80's, the film follows Senna's struggles both on track against his nemesis, French World Champion Alain Prost, and off it, against the politics which infest the sport. Sublime, spiritual yet, on occasion, ruthless - Senna conquers and transcends Formula One to become a global superstar. Privately, he is humble, almost shy, and fiercely patriotic, donating millions to his native Brasil and contemplating a life beyond motor-racing. I'm not even into racing and I Love this film! I especially love the old races, the music and announcements from them. Awesome movie. I used to love playing 'pole position' on atari.

Until now, I've never heard Senna before, but I soon as I watch this film it has been a great experience. Senna is very relatable in my perspective to the point where he has become one of my own personal hero. The way the film is set up is inspirational and good till the end in keeping you on the edge of your seat. This is not just some lame documentary, it is a homage to one of racing history greatest driver and inspiration for all Brazilians.

Even if your not a fan of auto racing, this movie tells a story of a great human that an entire country (and automotive world) loved! SENNA is a a very moving story of a person that had passion beyond words for something he loved and gave back to his community. A must see movie!
