Hemlock Lake is a quaint little summering town. It is autumn, and this tiny community is eerily quiet as 9 year old Angie Appleton, riding her bicycle down the empty rural road and up the driveway of a picturesque lakeside cottage, a 'Sold' sign on the front lawn. The Appletons have just moved in. Jack and Liz have moved to Hemlock Lake for a fresh start. Liz wants nothing more than to be a good mother to Angie and Jack will do anything for Liz, but he knows the problems in their marriage have gone too far. Liz suffers from severe anxiety that cause her to black out and experience ominous visions. She tries to control it with sheer willpower but more often than not, with medication. As the few remaining townsfolk start to act strange and suspicious, Liz starts to have more frequent episodes. She is seeing things outside the house, but are they real? Things take a turn for the worst when Jack realizes that Liz isn't imagining a threat, they are being watched, somebody or something is outside the house toying with them, now they must work together if they are to survive the night.

I love this movie! I've watched it many times now. Perfect script, characters, and story. Left me guessing till the very, very end. Wonderful cast. Though I must confess, I forgive myself for liking Jack & Liz.🤔

I searched cool stuff for kids and got this R rated movie.
