I absolutely loved this movie. I was a huge fan of the first shaft (well the 2000 movie with Samuel L Jackson), watched it so many times back in the day to the point that I knew the movie line by line. I must say that I think this one is actually better. It has more action, it's much funnier and I absolutely loved it. The first shaft had a better and more consistent story line I would say but this was just so much fun man. It's rare that a sequel gets better than a classic but this was to me .

Watched it on dvd. Very good movie. I also have another shaft movie with Samulel Jackson. It is good as well. I guess it's Shaft 2. Wish I had the 1st Shaft with Richard Roundtree. "That's a bad brother" Samuel Jackson is just a good actor period. In other words. Just buy the movie!

Have been a Shaft fan for years and I thoroughly enjoyed this movie but my one complaint about it is it's a very slow burn film. I actually feel you could re edit the movie and remove 20 minutes of footage and the film would still tell the story just fine. Other than that I really enjoyed it!
