About this movie

Vijay Kumar grows up with a grudge against his father, Ashwini, an honest and incorruptible policeman, who refuses to negotiate his son's release from the kidnappers. Vijay grows up into a bitter and rebellious young man. The incident of the kidnapping and the memory of his father's refusal to save his life still prey upon him. The rift between Vijay and his father keeps widening until they find themselves standing on the opposite sides of the law.

Although one of Amitabh's greatest ever performances, nevertheless Dilip Kumar's restraint and multi-nuanced performance is an absolute treat.
