The story brings Alan Ladd, a drifter and retired gunfighter, to the assistance of a homestead family terrorized by a wealthy cattleman and his hired gun (Jack Palance). In fighting the last decisive battle, Shane sees the end of his own way of life. Mysterious, moody and atmospheric, the film is enhanced by the intense performances of its splendid cast.

I been watching this movie since high school and still watch it today. I grew up with Roy Rogers, Gene Autry, Durango Kid, Long Ranger etc and I like a lot of western movies but when it comes up in a conversation I would say SHANE is the best of ALL, being black my father was my role model until I found out that Sammy Davis Jr was the fastest gun in Hollywood and at 79 I still practice quick draw.🤗🤗🤗

Never experienced a movie quite like this one. .. just listening to the theme music, takes me to a happy place

As a child my mother gave me a love for Western Movies.....this Western has always been my favorite. Great story I love it!!!
