When a freak tornado swamps Los Angeles, thousands of man-eating sharks are sucked into the swirling vortex, terrorising the waterlogged populace and flooding the city with shark-infested seawater. Surfer and bar-owner Fin (Ian Ziering, Beverley Hills, 90210) sets out with his friends Baz (Jaason Simmons, Baywatch) and Nova to rescue his estranged wife April (Tara Reid, American Pie) and teenage daughter Claudia from the sharks raining down from the skies. With nature's deadliest killer ruling sea, land, and air, they soon realise that the best chance they have to survive the deadly shark-infested maelstrom is to find a way to destroy it themselves.

I don't know why this is listed under horror. It's more of a bad comedy than anything else. Terrible acting, rubbish effects & an awful script. I didn't laugh at any of the contrived jokes, just groans. What makes this movie worse is the creators obvious attempt to pander to the cult-film and internet meme brigade. If this is the direction that movies are going, count me out. Mediocrity at its worst.

This film is so bad its funny, poor acting and even worse special effects like great white sharks swimming fully submerged I might add in 2inches of water please don't waste your money or time.

Thos film was amazing. The first of a great franchise which will sadly be ending on the 19th of august. A great action movie with good acting and bad special affects. For some reason i am the only one in my family who enjoys the great film franchise Sharknado
