Very well done. I was expecting a fun horror movie but instead I got something more akin to a spooky Haruki Murakami story. It's an exercise in atmosphere and suspense. I think it's best to go in knowing as little as possible. And don't expect any answers to the films big questions. Incredible performances (the young woman, Amy, is played perfectly by the director/writer of the film). Lots of interesting things to say (on grief, breakups, depression, anxiety, the apocalypse- it's got it all) while still being entertaining, which is rare. Of course, not everything works toootally perfectly. Some of the metaphors and plot devices feel a little unpolished or unfinished. But not in a way that detracts from the movie. be warned, this movie contains tons of slow, subtly crushing existential dread. Get ready for an existential crisis on the eve the the apocalypse and DO NOT WATCH WHILE YOU ARE HIGH. Not the first time you watch at least.
