This supernatural thriller explores the dark side of underground film making. Gina Skylar, the reigning queen of horror, lures Jake Bubar, her number one fan, into the decadent world of illusions and myths to help her find Robert Lonzo's (her producer), stolen film footage. Jake sees her vulnerability and beauty and cannot resist her. His beliefs are challenged when he discovers Gina's true nature but he cannot control his forbidden desire for her. Together, they forge ahead and deal with the demons and beasts that try to stop them.

Well, it was an...interesting experience. The beginning was strong and the lore (the bits I could make out at least) were tantalizing. But it was just too cheaply made and by the end I lost all sense of what in the hell was going on. I did like the interaction between the lead and his friend as he relayed the story to him.

A young horror film buff meets his favourite scream queen and agrees to help her look for the footage of her latest film, which has been stolen. The girl of his dreams may turn out to be a nightmare though, because it seems rather likely she is a werewolf ... At no point is this movie of high quality. The acting - other than the two leads - is generally wooden; the effects work is dreadful; and there's a regrettable amount of casual homophobia in the dialogue. And yet for the first thirty minutes I was actually having a good time. Tiffany Shepis and Timothy Mandala work well together and there's a playful sense of waiting for the penny to drop as to her real nature. Alas in the second act it starts to get some serious script wobbles and about the 70 minute mark they seem to have completely given up. A shame, since it was quite delightfully tacky to begin with.
