Tahir (Anthony Mackie), an illegal immigrant from Nigeria, and Hannah (Academy Award winner Jennifer Connelly), a heroin addict, live homeless on the streets of Manhattan. When Tahir saves Hannah from a suicide attempt, the two form a friendship, and in the year that follows, they share not only their pasts, but realise they need each other to build a future. This powerful drama is the directorial debut of Paul Bettany.
