A rip roaring yarn and the price at the time of purchase was unmissable… FREE! Thanks Google Play. (And for those complaining that Play required credit card details to get the movie when it was free - the film is rated 12 and the card confirms your age and legibility to watch the film. Otherwise Google could be breaking the law... where do these cheapskate idiots come from? Google Play has my card details for when I buy from Play (just like other online retailers like Amazon) and has never charged me for free items.)

This film is brilliantly done and Robert Downey Jr has a good English accent in this film. some parts make you want to sit on the edge of your seat with eager anticipation and some humorous parts - Sherlock giving the dog a knock out drug to calling Mrs Hudson a nanny. I think everyone will enjoy this as much as I have as it is thrilling and very much enjoyable.

This particular re-imagining of Sherlock is clever and believable. There are, however, several things that make you go "hmm." Hollywood somehow dictated that a villain "unintentionally" knocking all the supports from under a dry-docked ship would be a good idea. And what about running from the sewer and ending up on a deserted, half-constructed bridge several hundred feet above the city? And, of course, the requisite romantic side-plot of Sherlock and Irene. To all these, I say, "Tsk, tsk." However, that doesn't stop the movie from being highly enjoyable to watch. I saw it in the theater and I own it. Loving a movie isn't pretending it has no flaws - it's being able to ignore them enough to enjoy it, anyway.
