Sherlock Holmes has always been the smartest man in the room...until now. At its center sits a singularly sinister spider: Moriarty. Holmes' investigation into Moriarty's plot becomes more dangerous as it leads him and Watson out of London to France, Germany and finally Switzerland. But the cunning Moriarty is always one step ahead, and moving perilously close to completing his ominous plan. The critics don't seem to like Ritchie's Sherlock movies but this punter absolutely loves them. I was sorry to see Rachel McAdam dispatched and Noomi Rapaace's character was a bit more superficial than I would hope but the chemistry between Downey Jnr and Laws is fantastic. I also love the soundtrack which is absolutely wonderful with its strong Romani themes.

This sequel is as good if not better than the original film. This chemistry between Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law is poetry in motion. I also loved Stephen Fry as Holmes' brother. The movie met all my expectations and left me wanting more.

I never would have believed that Robert Downey Jr could play Sherlock Holmes so well. It is compelling viewing. Guy Ritchey is now making such extraordinary cinema with absolutely amazing cinematography. This is now my favourite film of all time!
