Jack Nicholson, in un'interpretazione indimenticabile , è Jack Torrance, che si trasferisce all'elegante ed isolato Overlook Hotel come custode invernale con sua moglie e suo figlio . Torrance non era mai stato in quel luogo, o forse si? La risposta è in una spettrale distorsione temporale carica di sangue e di follia.

This was my first Horror movie i saw. i was fairly young when i saw it (at drive in theater on a big screen outdoors, and you placed the speaker onto the car door windom.) It was creepy and scary. Because, i was so young i couldn't quite appreciate the plot. About 10yrs later i had a better understanding ...still creepy but not as scary.

This the best when jack said "HERE'S JOHNNY!" BUT WHY DID DANNY THE SON WHATEVER HIS NAME IS ESCAPE BUT HIS WIFE WENNY OR WHATEVER COULDN'T GET OUT SHE CUT HER HUSBAND HAND AND ESCAPED ONCE AGAIN JOHNNY CHASED THEM AND GOT FROSTBITE THIS IS THE BEST ONE EVER A 1000/10 MOVIE TICKET'S

One of the best movies ever. I've heard people complain about it being kind of slow but I argue that it was done masterfully well and is intended to invite you into the madness. The performances are incredible. And the score is magnificent. Definitely a must watch.
