Upon moving to a small Vermont college town, Fred and Rose get an offer for free room and board from a professor, as long as Rose agrees to look after his wife, acclaimed horror author Shirley Jackson. At first, they detest the rocky household of the eccentric couple, but eventually establish deep bonds with their counterparts, which will test the limits of their young love.

Honestly I thought this was not going to be worth the watch. The movie however is put together well. Elisabeth Moss is perfect in this movie...as are the other characters but she pulls off the chaotic energy needed for this role. Watch it!

Dark and moody, smoldering thriller moments that could have used a wee push into a tad more action but this was very intellectual and stimulating to watch to say the least! Fantastic acting and casting made this film believable.

Quite a nebulous little story. Enjoyable and a tad dark. Elizabeth Moss seems suited for eccentric character roles. She doesn't disappoint in this one.
