These reviews are so terrible, the point of reviews is to get a glimpse of what your seeing or not seeing; No one asked you to describe the movie in one word. Anyhow, I'm a musical theatre fan and personally I love this. They didn't change too much from the movie and I really think the musical aspect gives the characters more depth and allows the audience to better understand the characters, especially in Donkey, Fiona, and Shrek and the phenomenal emotion the actors put into their characters. Just like the movie, it's aimed at kids but there is enough adult humor that older kids and adults can enjoy it just as much and maybe even more. It is definitely considered a musical theatre jewel, so if you don't like musicals or theatre, I do not suggest it. Like every other musical, characters will break out into a musical number every five minutes

I LOVE this musical!! I possibly like it more than the movie itself (yes my family is ashamed of me). But jokes aside, it is perfect for that little one in your family that loves to sing! You may be hearing the songs for the next few weeks, but at least they aren't bothering you!

I watched this one night just to occupy my mind while I was trying to go to sleep, and ended up falling in LOVE with this musical. It's hilarious, fun, and sweet. It very closely follows the movie, which I liked but wasn't that excited about. This musical is so fun. You need to watch it!
