Solid movie, tension, suspense & atmosphere all backed up by an excellent sound track. Definitely one for the grown ups out there, if you are looking for non-stop explosions no brainer look elsewhere. If a realistic plot, believable characters, depth and substance are more up your street give this a watch & you will not be disappointed. When it does go noisy however it is extremely well portrayed, the time and effort spent training the the actors on how to properly hold and utilise their weapon systems clearly pays off.

Excellent film. A must see. This film works on the build up to each incident with the suspense building, helped greatly by the sound track. Don't expect long gun battles and huge explosions rolling on endlessly. When the action arrives its realistic. Short, sharp, not so sweet and over in seconds. The horror of the situation is not delivered in blood and gore but in the matter of fact way that the human animal can almost casually dish out death and destruction without batting an eyelid.

Film is slow, menacing and depicts the violence in Mexico realistically. It also depicts how this violence has become just another thing to deal with in Mexicans every day lives. What the film doesn't explore enough is the role that the USA has played in escalating the problem through aggressive foreign policy and a total lack of dealing with supply chain in the states itself. Great performances from the lead acts though do make this a good movie
