About this movie

Silent Conquest traces the beginning of the end of freedom of speech in the post-modern West from the 1979 edict of the Iranian Ayatollah upon Salman Rushdie on publication of his book The Satanic Verses to the present time where death threats and criminal prosecutions against writers, journalists, artists and ordinary citizens are now commonplace for the "crime" of insulting Islam.

If you are interested in preserving freedom of speech, you will find this documentary very compelling.
