Dwayne Johnson is a big man but even a man as big as 'the rock' cannot fill up what feels to be a pretty empty couple of hours, personally i would like to see him do more projects like this rather than films made by disney and the inevitable 'jumanji' sequal dross, theres a couple of cool set pieces but unfortunately 'skyscraper' doesent have quite enough oooooomph!!! in it to make it work, what could of been and should of been a action blockbuster turns out to be an action lacklustre.

was sold to me as die hard with the rock. not even close. It can be entertaining in being over the top, but has ridiculous plot holes concerning the security of the building that allowed the scenario, plot holes regarding how fire works, forgettable bad guys, an intro that in other movies would be referenced again later... but wasn't. It's meh

Despite being a poor imitation of the blockbuster skyscraper disaster epic The Towering Inferno (1974) missing out one vital thing - the disaster, as everything is neglected to make The Rock appear more super-human than ever before - this still manages to reach parts other action spectaculars can't. read my full review for more: bit.ly/skyscraperfilm
