About this movie

Though Victor (Adam Beach, Flags of Our Fathers) and Thomas have lived their entire young lives in the same tiny town, they couldn't have less in common. But when Victor is urgently called away, it's Thomas who comes up with the money to pay for his trip. There's just one thing Victor has to do: take Thomas along for the ride! You're in for a rare and entertaining comic treat as this most unlikely pair leave home on what becomes an unexpected unforgettable adventure of friendship and discovery.

This is a fantastic movie about coming to terms with who you are. Both Victor and Thomas wrestle with the stories of their past while finding peace with their future. I have watched this movie several times and I hear something new each time I watch it.

Victor: You gotta look mean or people won't respect you. White people will run all over you if you don't look mean. You gotta look like a warrior! You gotta look like you just came back from killing a buffalo! Thomas: But our tribe never hunted buffalo - we were fishermen. Victor: What! You want to look like you just came back from catching a fish? This ain't "Dances With Salmon" you know!
