A race-car driver named Bandit (Burt Reynolds) makes a bet that he can transport an illegal shipment of beer from Texas to Atlanta in under 28 hours. Along the way, he picks up an unwilling bride-to-be (Sally Field), furthering his chances of being arrested. It turns out her future father-in-law is Sheriff "Smokey" Justice (Jackie Gleason), and his boy is waiting for her at the altar. A car chase ensues as Smokey scours the South in pursuit of Bandit.

Smokey and the Bandit one of the best I haven't seen this film for years 09/01/16 I went on to Google Play and I was looking for a movie to watch so I came across Smokey and the Bandit so I paid £7.99 and watched the film it was still a very excellent and fun movie so I guarantee you a good time if you get this movie why not right now and you won't be disappointed it is excellent

A film I love just as much as I do in the 80s,me and my brother still quote sheriff buford t justice

A brilliant classic. I had this on Beta max (ask your parents) on VHS and so on. Just brilliant.
