This film does live up to it's title, but it has been overdone, because the title gives you exactly what you are going to get in this film. And with typical uninspired characters, dumb dialogue, decent to poor CGI, and brain insulting concept writing to the plot is the true definition of a mindless enterprise that offers the break of predictability. There is some well directed scenes to deliver jumpscares (only 3) because of the tone and the screenplay. There is also some frightening imagery that is packed with imagination involving "snakes on the plane." One of the most memorable elements in the film is that what scares me about this film, is the fact that there are some species of snakes that I saw in this film that I know. The common kingsnake (slithering up a sleeping woman), the diamondback rattlesnake (about to strike the baby), and then, breaking through the ceiling glass where the light is and constricting the life out of a man, the big muscular burmese python. The film does have an above-average music score by Trevor Rabin, ranging from threatening and very scary, to bold and aggressive, to emotional, but unfortunately, the emotional music elements are not the most emotional and not the saddest. The entire enterprise is thin, predictable, and has below average IQ of intelligence. There are very few characters that are somewhat likable but not the best characters. Samuel L. Jackson as an FBI agent who is protective of the people and is a good leader, but is not a zoologist. Todd Louiso as Dr Steven Price is an expert on snakes, but he doesn't seem to be professional, neither is he enjoying his career. The rest of the characters are somewhat pretty bad; Nathan Philips as Sean Jones is a man who did not call the cops after witnessing a brutal murder, there is a guy who does not like dogs and babies and then he (SPOILER ALERT) throws a woman's chihuahua at the burmese python (I hope the guy did not actually throw the dog in the making of this film. ANIMAL ABUSE). A father lets his two sons go on this plane flight (abandoning your own kids on their own?!) , There are guys with there wives who love each other to death or are they guys hunting for ladies to cuddle and kiss. And Kenan Thompson as Troy is a man who learns to fly a plane just by playing video games about planes (who wrote this?!). And this leads us to more and more flaws that are coming up next: The CGI effects went from mediocre to poor, There is some inaccuracies of snakes (sucking venom to stay alive, "slimy" snakes, and they said that they have poison). NEVER suck the venom! you have to keep the wound immobilized below the heart and call 911 before going to the hospital. It's called Venom, not Poison. Snakes are not slimy, they have shiny little scales. This film even lacks the genre thrills and action, because I wasn't entertained by the film that much. Skip It.

Snakes on a plane is a movie that knows it's going to be a bad movie. That's what makes it a great movie. It's free to be cheesy, ridiculous, over the top and make no sense because the movie doesn't take itself too seriously and you shouldn't either. It's meant to be fun and entertaining and that's exactly what it is. Sharknado wishes it was this good. Bonus fact: today is the movie's 10 year anniversary.

I liked this movie. I wasn't expecting any great acting, script, or directing when I watched this movie; Just a really dumb plot with a bunch of dumb people, on a plane, with snakes on board. *Easter Egg* - Look at the button the guy pushes on the microwave. It says "Snake".
