There's something charming about a "redemption" story line and Solomon Kane definitely has that going for it. Plenty of violence, gore, and CGI to boot makes this movie a must watch for fans of the genre, but it doesn't do anything new or unexpected. I would wait until the price goes down, it isn't worth paying $10 for the privilege of viewing now.

Starts off with just enough action to get your attention and keeps you deep in the story the whole way through. No one was going to hear the lamentations of this guys women. I love seeing a hero that comes from a rather gritty past because it give credence to the action when he starts tearing the real bad guys limb from limb.

This has to be one of the worst movies ever made. The storyline is nonsensical, the supposed hero is farfetched in his role, and the religious relativity is comical at best. The special effects were the only winners in this ridiculous fantasy of a tale. I waited to see it free because I couldn't force myself to pay for this joke of a movie, lol.
