SOUTHLAND TALES is an ensemble piece set in the futuristic landscape of Los Angeles, as it stands on the brink of social, economic and environmental disaster. Boxer Santaros (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) is an action star who's stricken with amnesia. Before viewing ,you have to take a look at the graphic novel that this is based on, or you will be entirely lost. Made in 2008, I am making this review in 2017 and oddly this movie is close to what society has become. Only no new energy sources yet, the oil corperations have just gotten more insane and cruel on society. Check it out. Being that our president is a tv celebrity and a mad man makes this even more creepy.

I can only believe that all of the 5 star ratings are attempts to set a Guinness Record for sarcasm. Resist any temptation to waste your time watching this garbage.

Really an excellent movie that often gets a bad rap. Excellent work by The Rock but the whole cast is fantastic. Worth buying because you need to watch it a few times. A Brazil for the modern age.
