SOUTHLAND TALES is an ensemble piece set in the futuristic landscape of Los Angeles, as it stands on the brink of social, economic and environmental disaster. Boxer Santaros (Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson) is an action star who's stricken with amnesia. Dude this movie is......awesome. one of the good ones out there. and I just found out today after many years of loving this movie that Kevin Smith directed it and after being a huge follower of tusk I'm just absolutely amazed at the directing and Kevin Smith

Before viewing ,you have to take a look at the graphic novel that this is based on, or you will be entirely lost. Made in 2008, I am making this review in 2017 and oddly this movie is close to what society has become. Only no new energy sources yet, the oil corperations have just gotten more insane and cruel on society. Check it out. Being that our president is a tv celebrity and a mad man makes this even more creepy.

Really an excellent movie that often gets a bad rap. Excellent work by The Rock but the whole cast is fantastic. Worth buying because you need to watch it a few times. A Brazil for the modern age.
