When a young, urban couple travelling via back roads from Chicago to LA has car trouble in a small, rural town where the residents are less-than-progressive in their thinking, and racial epithets are the common graffiti, cultures clash and tempers flair between the travellers and the locals, which ultimately leads to greater problems for everyone.
