The acting in this movie is horrible. I was laughing at the parts that were supposed to be taken seriously. The only reason why I watched this was of because Whitney. May she RIP. I loved her though. Other than that I couldn't stand the acting even if some of the songs were good.

I ONLY gave this movie a chance is because of Whitney Houston, thats it, thats all. I heard that the hype was just hype. So I waited for it to come on STARZ and Im glad I did because it wasnt all that which means I didnt spend my money and wasted my gas to go see it.

I feel if your going to remake a movie it should be the same as the original atleast the most important parts you cant remake a movie like sparkle and change it completely the only similarity was the abuse sister was enduring it just didnt make sense but overall it was ok i guess
