A special ops officer and his protégé are recruited to investigate the kidnapping of the president's daughter, but the deeper they dig into her disappearance, the more they uncover a dangerous conspiracy that goes up to the highest levels of the U.S. government. Kilmer in one of his best performances and stand out supporting castmates Ed O'Neil, Kristen Bell, William H. Macy & Tia Texada are brought together by the succinct rhythm of a Mamet screenplay.

This film is some of Val Kilmer's best work. For those of us that appreciate the witty banter of Film Noir; Spartan, is a real treat. Do not rent it, buy it.

Memorable and well done, a good casting pick for all roles.
