Mach 5'iyle yarış pistinde korkusuzca son sürat giden, hızla giderken yana yatan, rakiplerinin arasından geçip giden Hızlı Yarışçı (Emile Hirsch) araba yarışları için doğmuş gibidir. Ama Hızlı, Royalton Endüstrileri'nden çok paralı bir teklifi reddettiğinde şirketin manyak sahibini (Roger Allam) kızdırmakla kalmaz korkunç bir sır da öğrenir. Bu da en büyük yarışlardan bazılarının bir avuç acımasız önemli adam tarafından önceden belirlenmiş olduğudur! Hızlı'nın ailesine ait iş yerini ve sevdiği sporu kurtarabilmesinin tek yolu Royalton'u kendi oyunuyla mağlup etmektir. Ailesinin (John Goodman ve Oskar ödüllü Susan Sarandon) ve sadık kız arkadaşı Trixie'nin (Christina Ricci) yardımıyla Hızlı, ağabeyi Rex Racer'in canını alan, Crucible adlı ölüme meydan okuyan, kır rallisini kazanmak için bir zamanlar rakibi olan --gizemli RacerYarışçı X (Matthew Fox--"Kayıp")-- ile bir ekip oluşturur.

I watched speed racer the cartoon when it came out. The things I like about this movie are the A,B,C, buttons; the jumper, the M5 design. This film has some of the best actors around like Susan Sarandon and Hiroyuki Sanada. The best bits are the desert race and the final race. Everything else I had to fast forward to make this film watchable. So, literally I just watch speed racer push some button, jumped around, and Susan Sarandon's incredible acting skill which is her ability to react to nothing. If I watched the whole movie, I would have hated it. Fast forward made it into just a "don't like it" score. Go speed racer goooooooooooooooooo. Hay speed racer, the secret engine design is etched on the wind shield BTW.

It's a movie that seemed to focus on style rather than much else. The story is terrible, the acting is subpar (even with some decent actors in it) and the races are just not that exciting. It feels like they decided that on a particular drifting cgi and just kept that throughout. The cinemasins for this movie was more entertaining.

I have been searching for my childhood 1960s/70s reruns of Classic Japanese Manga anime. [adult swim]™️ used to play ASTRO BOY (the original),Gigantor, Speed Racer, at 6:00 a.m in the fledgling, virtually no content like they[Williams Street]now have a surplus because of die hard fans that have known of the 90s "Tim and Eric ","Ab*So*lute* ly" lol, days referred to "Stoner's ad hoc, dgaf shows" like "Dr. Brule's" show, 12 oz. Mouse in cardboard city,Space Ghost C2C, The Brak Show, Drinky Crow+?
