About this movie

In SPIDER-MAN™2, the latest installment in the blockbuster SPIDER-MAN™ series, based on the classic Marvel Comics hero, TOBEY MAGUIRE returns as the mild-mannered Peter Parker, who is juggling the delicate balance of his dual life as college student and a superhuman crime fighter. Peter's life becomes even more complicated when he confronts a new nemesis, the brilliant Otto Octavius (ALFRED MOLINA) who has been reincarnated as the maniacal and multi-tentacled "Doc Ock." When Doc Ock kidnaps MJ (KIRSTEN DUNST), Spider-Man must swing back into action as the adventure reaches new heights of unprecedented excitement." SPIDER-MAN 2 outdoes the original by leaps and bounds." - Jeff Giles, NEWSWEEK "The Best Superhero Movie I've Ever Seen!" - Roger Ebert, EBERT & ROEPER MPAA Rating: PG-13 Motion Picture © 2004 Columbia Pictures Industries, Inc. I think this was the best of the 3 films. It didn't seem like they were trying to over do it. The first film was good too but this one gave me more to work with without having to establish the origin. The third film was just too much. Raimi packed too much into that film. I liked how all the films were comic book-y but the villain in this film was, to me, was the most relatable. A worthwhile sequel that I think was better than the original.

They hit all the key points in this movie and it is a splendor to look at. Good character development along with generous amounts of action put this movie on top for me. Tobey Maguire does a great job as the wise cracking Spidey we all know and love. Alfred Molina's performance as Doc Ock was spot on and added to the appeal of this movie.

I LOVE everything Spiderman, and even for the occasional watcher or by-stander of Peter Parker's spidey senses that never seem to cease tingling, this is a CLASSIC. Love it, favorite superhero and all around amazing. Without flaw.
