For those of you who gave this movie one star I want to say some mean things but 1 I can't respond and 2 well everyone has their right for their own opinion. This was a great movie yes there was change from the comics but you have to think this really came as a surprise to us all because Spider-Man got lucky to be in civil war and in the mcu period because Sony is real stuck up about their characters, which Spider-Man was a late entry to the mcu. So complaining about the differences so what and it was never said that he doesn't have spidey senses, their were a couple of scenes where he actually used them. And for those of you complaining about uncle ben, get over it, I mean he was seen in the first Spider-Man movie with tobey and the first Spider-Man movie with Andrew Garfield, no one wants to see uncle ben die in every single Spider-Man movie. We all know Spider-Man back story this movie did great without even having to tell his story over and if you don't know his backstory I mean now and days you can Google everything. I'd admit it did feel a bit Disney channelish but it was still a good movie. Even if iron man wasn't in it I would still watch it because I love Spider-Man. So five stars from me this movie really deserved it.

I actually really enjoyed it. They didn't even gloss over the origin story, they straight up skipped it. TBH that's fine. The Toby McGuire films are a bit dated but still quite good and do as good of a job to introduce people to Spiderman as you can want from a movie. Might as well take a different approach. On that note, they really went a different direction in introducing him. Tony Stark as a mentor, giving him his suit, and basically making the suit a hybrid of the standard Spidey suit and the Iron Man suit is kinda weird, but in the context of the MCU it works fairly well. I'm sure purists won't like it, but I grew up on Spiderman in the 80s and 90s and I'm not triggered. I knew this wasn't going to be the same. I think my biggest gripe of all is that Mary Jane Watson isn't the redhead model from the comic books. In fact, her name is Michelle, and people just call her MJ. Whatever. That kind of seemed like pandering to me, but it's not a deal breaker. At the end of the day, it was a fun movie and it works well toward integrating Spiderman into the Avengers and that's the whole point. Now if they could just get Hugh Jackman and his adamantium claws into the Avengers I could die a happy marvel movie fan.

My opinion of this movie prior to watching it, I have to admit wasn't very high. I hate when they change actors and revamp movies. I liked Toby macguire as spider Man... Then they changed him again to Andrew Garfield and I was ok with that, but then this new guy...I thought , this is going to be dumb. However after watching this, and watching the amazing Spiderman cartoon as a kid in the 80s-90s I must say, they got Spidermans wit down to a T with this one. Some of the people eating this movie say things like "pretty boy" when describing the new Spiderman actor be however I think he more closely but matches the real Peter Parker, a science nerd and no offense to the actor but he does pretty that well, if anyone can say any of the actors who played Spiderman in the past were pretty boys, it could be said about Andrew Garfield. Mostly purists and haters will give this movie less than 3*s. The movie is actually better than what I thought it would be. The only thing I don't like is how they are changing the entire timeline and making it that Tony Stark, aka iron Man is Spidermans mentor, as if Tony Stark is solely responsible for making Spiderman the hero he already was before iron Man movies were even heard of. Maybe I'm just biased though because spider Man is my favorite marvel hero. This would have been so much better had Spiderman met Tony Stark and the other avengers after he had already become the hero we all grew up with. But even still, the actor is actually pretty spot on, as is spidermans with from the original story. Decent movie for all Spiderman fans and marvel fans in general. On a side note, does anyone think it's ironic that Michael Keaton played on the birdman documentary movie and then as the vulture in Spiderman homecoming?
