I watch a lot of indie movies, horror movies in specific. While there's a ton of crap floating around, every once in a while I find myself genuinely enjoying one of these indie flicks. Spirit Stalkers embodies indie horror - the video quality is balls, the audio is super-balls and the acting, while not bad, isn't very convincing. What this movie has that is lacking in most other horror films (and most other films, indie or not) is a story, which is pretty good. While the pacing sometimes drags, I found myself pretty well engaged in the film from beginning to end. Most of the screen time is taken up by human drama rather than fancy special effects, and what few scares there are range from cheap to free. The scares are few and far between, typically foregoing shock in favor of atmosphere and dread. This worked really well for the film, and it's not an easy thing to pull off. The soundtrack helped, as it raised tension while avoiding kitsch. There were some distracting audio quality issues (clipping, some parts too quiet), and the story did start to feel a bit bloated by the end. All-in-all, this was a really good indie flick, and a great way to spend a buck.

My 14 year old could of done a better job making this movie, no joke. I love indie films and the paranormal but this was just ridiculous and way over priced. Use your money to watch the show paranormal witness. Now that's worth your money.

The fact that this started as an apparently scientific approach in a reality setting and then proceeded to horror made the effect all that much greater. This was no mean achievement.
