Writer/director/producer M. Night Shyamalan returns with an original thriller that delves into the mysterious recesses of one man's fractured, gifted mind. Though Kevin (James McAvoy) has evidenced 23 personalities to his trusted psychiatrist, Dr. Fletcher (Betty Buckley), there remains one still submerged who is set to materialize and dominate all the others. Tedious film until the last 15 minutes when it gets better, but not much. The film is less than 2 hours but felt like 2 1/2. Found myself chatting through the first half an hour. Trying to be clever, but fails.

I quite enjoyed the first half of the film before it descended into the tedium of the 'run of the mill' last 45 minutes. Interesting idea without the required interesting ending.

I know that this film is listed as a horror but if you are looking for a gorefest you will be disappointed go elsewhere. But for everyone else I would recommend this film it is a enjoyable drama from m night shyamalan I know I never thought it was possible~if you have been disappointed by him before then give this film a try you could be pleasantly surprised. The ending is odd even for him
