In a small, woodsy Oregon town, a group of friends - sensitive Gordie (Wil Wheaton), tough guy Chris (River Phoenix), flamboyant Teddy (Corey Feldman), and scaredy-cat Vern (Jerry O'Connell) - are in search of a missing teenager's body. Wanting to be heroes in each other's and their hometown's eyes, they set out on an unforgettable two-day trek that turns into an odyssey of self-discovery. When I first watched this film I didn't realise it was 2 years older than me. But this is one of my favourite childhood films. Great story and great movie. Shame they don't make movies from books/novels like they did with this. The one thing I will say about this fipm TIMELESS CLASSIC if you haven't seen this movie. You need to watch!!!!

Fantastic adaptation of a king short story. Watched it when I was around 14 for first time and now at 36 it still takes me back to that time each and every time I watch it. Can't recommend enough.
